This camera has been a game-changer for my night photography. It is reviewed as the "king of high ISO performance", and it does not disappoint. It only has 12.2 MP, and some people may dismiss it because of that, but unless you're planning on printing wall-sized images, 12.2 MP is fine. Besides, it is one of the reasons the camera performs so well at high ISOs! The A7S II has a full-frame sensor, essential for high ISO performance as well as night/low light photography. I have used this camera handheld in caves and conservatively allowed the ISO go to 25,600 without any more of a noise problem than ISO 3200 on a Nikon full-frame camera. Its native ISO range is 100-102,400, and the extended mode will go to 409,600. These numbers are previously unheard of. If you're serious about night photography, this camera should be on your list.
