Registration deadline: August 1, 2023

The wind-swept Central Oregon coastline offers dramatic views of ocean cliffs, sand dunes, sea stacks, and crashing waves. We will spend six days and five nights capturing everything from landscapes to macro images along this stunning seacoast.

Starting in Eugene, Oregon, the workshop will travel westward toward the coast stopping in route to photograph the four-tiered plunging Sweet Creek Falls.  Here we will practice with ND filters and work on long exposures to create silky water and stunning images.

Once we’ve reached the coast, we will spend a few days at Coos Bay photographing the monolithic sea stacks at Bandon Beach, the Cape Blanco Lighthouse, tidepools along the shoreline, and explore the beautiful gardens at Shore Acres State Park.

Moving further north, we will spend a couple of days based out of Florence and spend time photographing spectacular views from Cape Perpetua, the highest point of the Oregon Coast at 800′ above the Pacific.

We will also spend time along the rugged coastline of Yachats capturing crashing waves and other seascapes including the historic Heceta Head Lighthouse set high atop a rocky cliff.

If you love the Pacific Ocean and all of its coastal beauty, this is the workshop for you.  Join photographer and Northern Arizona University instructor, Amy Horn, for a glorious week along the Central Oregon Coast.
