Take Lightroom to the next level in this six-week, fast-paced webinar targeting photography organization and editing. Starting with file management, Amy will demonstrate Lightroom workflow to enhance your personal catalog of images. Through weekly challenges, participants will advance their skills and knowledge while developing their own photos. Weekly topics include file management, basic and detailed corrections, adjustment tools and basic exporting. During the last week, you will have the opportunity to showcase your own image for final critique/feedback.


This interactive webinar series includes Lightroom tool demonstrations, follow along lessons, weekly recordings for review, and a final critique/feedback session. This course demonstrates the current version Lightroom Classic (10.1) and participants should have it downloaded and open prior to the first class. Previous Lightroom versions have similar and even identical tools, but other versions will not be covered in this webinar. Lightroom is a powerful program and with practice of the tools demonstrated, participants will gain significant proficiency to organize, develop and output their photos with confidence.


What you will learn:

  • Organize photos through metadata and collections.
  • Simple steps to making global adjustments.
  • Understand and apply selective adjustment tools.
  • Export with watermark using specific resolutions.


Utilize automated presets for creative expression.

Week 1 – Organization/ Library module

  • Catalog – what it is and why
  • Import, sort, rate
    • Keywords
    • Metadata – copyright & lens correction, aberration, etc
  • Collections, smart collections, target collection

Week 2 – Library & Develop module

  • Develop module:
    • Tabs: profiles, basic, calibration
    • Tools: crop, horizon, spot healing brush/clone
  • Library module: synchronize & export

Week 3 – Develop Module

  • Review: Basic tools
  • Develop module:
  • Virtual copy
    • Tools: adj brush, radial tool vs vignette, graduated filter & erase

Week 4 – Develop Module & Export

  • Review:
  • Develop module:
    • Tools: adj brush presets
    • Tabs: tone curve, hsl/color, lens corrections & transform, effects, color grading
    • Export, resolutions, make a preset

Week 5 – Print, and other output modules

  • Contact sheet, add watermark
  • Slideshow, book, and web module
  • Export to jpg, printing

Week 6 – Feedback and critiques

  • Critiques!
  • Discuss Lightroom Web version, sync collections, iPad, auto import
