May 18 - May 19, 2019
Activity Level

Conquer the creative elements of photography by joining NAU photographer Amy Horn for this two-day, weekend photography workshop on exposure, composition, color and texture in the tall Ponderosa pines of Arizona’s Mogollon Rim Country.

Registration deadline: April 15, 2019

Are you ready to apply elements of design to your photography compositions? If so, then join Amy Horn for a weekend of photography, focusing on exposure, composition, color and texture. With Amy’s love of teaching and thorough instruction on optimal camera settings, you will activate your creative juices.

The combination of tall ponderosa pines and water on the Mogollon Rim will be our backdrop for this photo workshop. After a short lesson at Kohl’s Ranch, Amy will guide you through the elements of design (line, shape, form, texture, pattern and color) at several locations including lakes, creeks and granite outcroppings. She will assist you in creating simplified compositions while applying exposure and hyperfocal techniques to your scene. This workshop is perfect if you are ready to master your gear and walk away with compelling photographs.

  • Water and snacks
  • Post workshop critique
