Sandy Zelasko

BIOGRAPHY
Sandy Zelasko has worked professionally in the photography field for nearly 30 years. An accomplished speaker, instructor, and hands-on workshop leader, she resides in Southern California with her wonderful husband and adorable Aussie rescue, Blue.
A freelance nature photographer specializing in North American wildlife, she promotes ethical practices in the field of conservation photography and contributes her talents towards land acquisition for better connectivity and wildlife sustainability.
“Introducing enthusiasts to the art of nature photography is extremely rewarding,” Zelasko shares. “Surrounding yourself in nature can’t be beat.”
Her photography is international awarded and most recently published in Nature’s Best Magazine, Wyoming Wildlife Magazine and Wild Planet Photo Magazine. Her conservation work has been recognized at different venues and her fine art pieces are represented by the Borrego Art Institute.
Zelasko provides image critiques for many photography competitions, local and international, and enjoys reviewing all levels of photographic portfolios. She invests herself in student success. “Patience truly is a virtue” and Zelasko practices that mantra not only in the field photographing wildlife but by listening to participant needs so she can best deliver solutions for student understanding and achievement.
